Mammoth Hillside Property has a New Owner in Mammoth Lakes California
The Mammoth Hillside property in Mamoth Lakes, California finally closed on Monday, July 16, 2007. The new owner is Roger Staubach of Cypress Equities, and former player for the Dallas Cowboys. His successful commercial real estate company is now purchasing resort properties, Mammoth being the first mountain destination. The property was sold with all of the entitlements needed to move forward with a resort development. Alterations and revisions are being made to the orignal plans as we're told, and more official information is expected to be released in the Fall of this year.
As is common in our town, the rumor mill is abound with speculation as to who will be the operator of this new Mammoth resort development. Previous discussion was for a St. Regis but more recently, the letters of agreement have referenced Ritz Carlton. Will the new owners pursue Ritz Carlton? We will be awaiting this information and you'll find it hear as soon as we do.
