This is a very small amount to pay to help ensure the future of our children. People must support their local schools and by being a part of this community, as a second home-owner or otherwise, you are choosing to support our schools. If S doesn't pass we will lose programs, including the maximum class size of 20 students for lower grades. Please get out there and "VOTE YES ON S".

Attention All Out-of-Area Property Owners:

If you own a second home, condo/townhome, vacant lot or land, or commercial building within the Mammoth Unified School District boundaries (Mammoth Lakes, Long Valey/Crowley Lake, Tom's Place or Sunnyslopes) you will be subject to this parcel tax if Measure S passes.

Did you know you may or may not be eligible to participate and cast a vote, yet if Measure S passes you will have to pay the tax? If you meet eligibility criteria, you can register to vote and even request an absentee ballot.

Contact the Mono County Clerk-Recorder-Registrar's office at 760-932-5337 for eligibility requirements, and registration and absentee ballot request deadlines for this election. If you aren't eligible to vote, well....Sorry. Chalk one up for Taxation Without Representation.

The Mammoth Hillside parcel is reported by the Town of Mammoth to be a 7 acre site was sold to Cypress Equities for approximately $53 million with all entitlements transferred with the sale.

This is fabulous news and a long time coming. I believe that maintaining a positive future for Mammoth means working hand in hand, and thoughtfully, with developers.
